dIRECTOR oF dIGITAL dESIGN

A few years ago, before the world was masked and hidden away, I had the amazing opportunity to conceive and assemble a tiny group of Artists called the Digital Design Group (DDG). I was able to hand pick craftspeople from multiple disciplines (Modelers and Painters, Animators, and Designers) all in support of bringing the amazing creative of our Directors and Storytellers to light.

In the first two years of the DDG, we created and helped shape, realize, and imagine over 30 visual tests for over 7 stories, with a wide variety of styles and approaches. Sometimes with pure precision and sometimes . . . a little quick and dirty.

We mostly produced from tight and clear concepts, but when that was not the case, we developed the ability to see into our creatives imaginations and help them deliver their ideas to the screen.

Other times I was given the opportunity/challenge of writing, designing, and directing, while staying very hands on as a Digital Artist. My team and I imagined and constructed characters and worlds in service of a producer’s project or a writer’s page.
